Public Health Plan 2026 - 2031

Project Overview

The Town of Cottesloe is developing a Public Health Plan that will provide a strategic framework for the health and wellbeing of the community including all those that come to live, work and play in the Town.

The Public Health Plan fulfils the requirements of the Public Health Act 2016, and will align with the objectives and policy priorities of the State Public Health Plan 2025- 2030. To achieve this, we are seeking input into how public health can be improved or maintained in our Town.

The four State Health Department priorities are:

PROMOTE – foster strong communities and healthier environments.

PREVENT – reduce the burden of chronic disease, communicable disease and injury.

PROTECT – protect against public and environmental health risks, effectively manage emergencies and lessen the health impacts of climate change.

ENABLE – bolster public health systems and workforce and leverage partnerships to support health and wellbeing.

With two overarching objectives:

1. Improving Aboriginal Health and Wellbeing

2. Equity and inclusion
